Dhaka-Chittagong highway under the capacity building

Additional IGP of Highway Police, Mr. Md. Delwar Hossain Mia, inspected the installation of CCTV on Dhaka-Chittagong highway under the capacity building project of Highway Police.

Today on 29/10/2024, Chief of Highway Police visited the data center “Crime Command Control Center” Meghnaghat, Sonargaon, Narayanganj of CCTV monitoring system of Dhaka-Chittagong highway under the capacity building project of Highway Police.

During the visit, the Additional IG discussed in detail what kind of benefits will be available in the activities of the Highway Police by installing CCTV, how the people will get the benefits and what kind of challenges will have to be faced in the future.

Meanwhile, DIG of Highway Police, Northern Division, Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed, BPM, PPM; DIG Eastern Division Mr. Atiqa Islam, BPM, NDC; Additional DIG (Project Director) Mr. Barkatullah Khan, BPM- Services, Additional DIG (Promoted) Superintendent of Police (Administration) Mr. Dr. a.k.aM Aktaruzzaman Basunia, other officials of Highway Police along with Smart Technologies (BD) Limited and Huawei officials were present.

Besides, he attended Baraulia Highway Police Station under the jurisdiction of Highway Police, Comilla Region and discussed the issues related to emergency inspection and traffic management.

Meanwhile, Highway Police Additional DIG (East Division) Mr. Mir Moddascher Hossain; Comilla Region Superintendent of Police (Additional DIG, Promoted) Mr. Md. Khairul Alam; Assistant Superintendent of Police (Staff Officer to Additional IG) Mr. Shahed Ahmed Chowdhury; Assistant Superintendent of Police (Comilla Circle) along with Mr. Masum SardarBaraulia Highway police officers and forces were present.
